1981 The Trull Foundation provides a 3-year major grant to launch the ministry of Su Casa. The Presbyterian Childrens Home & Services (PCHS) operates the program out of an abandoned chapel leased from the Catholic Church.
1989 Su Casa serves an average of 13 families per month.
1991 Individuals and churches in the Rio Grande Valley unite to organize Su Casa de Esperanza into a separate agency. It becomes governed by a board of directors and receives IRS 501(c)(3) status.
1991 Su Casa purchases land and raises the funds to construct a 6,000 square foot family education center in the colonia community of Las Milpas.
2001 Upon request and support from the Texas A&M Rural Extension Service Colonia Project, Su Casa opens a second building in Progeso, TX to help meet needs of the families of many colonias near Progreso.
2001 Su Casa is named United Way of South Texas' 2001 Agency of the Year.
2010--Su Casa De Esperanza center in Progreso, Texas is expanded to accommodate more families. In 3 months, 14 new families are added to the program.
2011--Su Casa De Esperanza celebrates its 30th Anniversary
Present Su Casa serves 365 families per month in Las Milpas and Progreso. Su Casa's annual budget of $260,000 is from individuals, organizations, churches, foundations, and fundraising.
